March 16: Overnight in Memphis TN

That was supposed to be a picture of Beth and I but.... Caleb decided to join!
That's Joshua for you!
Our view of St. Louis
Playing tag with our buddies between the cars (so that they didn't get run over!) as a way to stretch out our legs while Dad filled the van up with gas.
Yes it's blurry but I had to post it because it's GREEN!

Our gracious host family (minus dad)

10:04 Well, we were on our way at 9:30. We were all showered and had had breakfast along with getting all stuff in the car (and people) and we're on the road before they left for church.

This is a nine and a half hour trip, by mapquest estimates. Taht puts us in at 7pm without any stops. It was freezing when we got in the car (we don't have winter coats with us). My toes are still really cold. We were just passed by a car from North Dakota. It's been quite awhile since I've seen one of those. Haha, we just passed a sign for Peru! I love how when you're traveling you see signs for all sorts of places all around the world. When we went to TN in Feb. we passed signs for Williamsburg (which is in VA), London and paris I believe. Not that it's a whole lot different than Denmark, Belgium and New Berlin and other cities up by us. It just makes traveling more interesting. (We just passed a sign for Oregon :-)

A little while ago my mom put on a kid's worship CD and Beth and I just looked at eachother. It's official - we're on a family vacation! :-) It's so cool hearing Rebecca sing to the music and it's cute watching Caleb try. I don't mind this CD so I'm glad mom picked it instead of some other options we have for kids music.

11:00 We just passed 106 towers on a wind farm - yes, mom and I actually counted.... lol

I showed mom and Dad how I've been spelling the "bud-e" system and Dad said we should ocme up with an acronym for it. So, by the end of the trip I'll have to official acronym to share. We've come up with a few ideas! lol How about: Bring Un-Desired Enforcement? hehe.

12:03 New acronym: Beautiful Unity Developed by Everyone -> by Dad. I told Dad that it sounded like something you'd hear at a homeschooling confrence! lol He then decided that he would write a book on it and go around speaking about the system. Maybe I'll write a book too; I'll call it "Meet my Bud-e".

___________

I'll spare you the details of all the stops, the less than desirable lunch issues and the exact times that we crossed every border! lol - I had to much time to kill...

We're now here at our next stop. Old homeschool friends whom we havn't seen in seven years! When we arrived, other old homeschool friends of ours who have also moved were also here! So there were seventeen kids ranging from 2-19! What fun. Their house is gorgeous and spacious and the weather is amazing! Can't wait to get to Texas tomorrow when it'll be even warmer!

I'll stop now before I give you to much information. *glances over what I've written* Oh, too late :)

And here are some pictures!!! (okay well this text was supposed to be above the pictures but.... It's to late at night to figure out how to fix it!)
